Gloria Estefanell doesn’t paint sport. She lived i Gloria Estefanell doesn’t paint sport. She lived it. Three Olympic Games, a life split between Madrid and Formentera, and a studio where acrylic, watercolor, oil and sculpture coexist without hierarchy.

Her work captures what elite sport produces and rarely shows: the raw emotion of a body at its limit, the light of high mountains, the tension of a wave before it breaks. Skiing, golf, tennis, surfing, sailing, cycling: each discipline becomes its own world, often large-format, always visceral.

Her works don’t decorate a space. They claim it.

Jim Drouet spent fifteen years in advertising and Jim Drouet spent fifteen years in advertising and publishing, learning how to build an image. Then he turned to painting, radically.

Born in 1961, trained at the Beaux-Arts d’Angoulême, he lives on the Atlantic coast in Vendée. He paints in oil, with a flat brush, and builds his palette by value rather than by colour. Blues and oranges dominate, with a subtle play of transparency. His canvases are framed like film stills: rigorous composition, stripped-back settings, strong contrasts. People are his favourite subject, caught in dazzling light and in motion, yet always calm.

“It’s the work on light that guides me above all.”

A Drouet doesn’t just show light. It builds the scene around it.
